Approximately 60 invited customers from across Sweden arrived to Heléns around lunchtime for a special customer event, with the opportunity to visit our new Swedish headquarters.

Heléns Sales Director Dick Lewander kicked off the event by welcoming the guests, followed by a presentation of Heléns by Managing Director Eva Täljegård, sharing insights about the new headquarters and project “OneHalmstad”. Ulrika Rydén and Johan Pettersson – Sustainability Manager and Head of Sustainability & Operations – talked about Heléns’ sustainability focus and efforts, followed by Commercial Director Henrik Dahlström who highlighted our customer focus.

Hans Weerstra, representing the Executive Board of Van Leeuwen, attended the event to talk about market trends and developments as well as highlight Van Leeuwen’s 100th anniversary celebration. The jubilee flag was raised, banners displayed, and the video played to commemorate the centenary of Van Leeuwen.

SSAB was invited to present their development of the fossil-free steel “Hybrit” and the guests also attended guided tours in both headquarters as well as warehouse and production facilities. The evening wrapped up in a social spirit with an inspirational lecture on "building teams" by former National football team coach Janne Andersson, followed by networking, mingling, and dinner.

Connecting worlds at Heléns in Sweden

Together with our cooperation partner Benteler Steel/Tube we presented future-oriented product innovations.  A particular focus was placed on sustainable steel tube products helping customers to achieve their emission targets. The CO2 footprint along the entire value chain is becoming more and more important.

The customer event took place in our our own Duisburg location. During the breaks there was enough time for networking and tasting good food and drinks. The Van Leeuwen’s 100th anniversary also was highlighted by jubilee flags and banners.
