The delivery process spans six different locations, including fabrication yards in Thailand, the Philippines, and Abu Dhabi, the job site in Antwerp, and two Dedicated Project Storage Areas (DPSA) in the Netherlands. Approximately 2,500 tons of materials will be temporarily stored in the DPSA before the final delivery to the yard in 2024.
The first materials are already being delivered. The project execution for Van Leeuwen is expected to continue until the end of 2024.
For this significant project, Van Leeuwen will supply over 18,000 tons of pipes, fittings, and flanges. Leveraging the full capacity of the Global Project Organization, several GPO teams in Paris, Zwijndrecht, and China are actively involved. The management encompasses coordination with end-users and multiple Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractors, including Technip (Netherlands), WOOD (UK), and Tecnicas Reunidas (Spain).
INEOS One Project
In the past months, Van Leeuwen's Global Project Organization (GPO) has been awarded multiple contracts for the INEOS ONE Project in Antwerp, Belgium. In Antwerp an ethane cracker with the lowest carbon footprint in Europe will be built, which is one of the largest newbuild investments in the Chemical industry in Europe in the last 25 years. With this project, INEOS aims to address climate change by implementing solutions that reduce carbon emissions.
