Van Leeuwen Zwijndrecht supplied over 80 km of pipelines for the construction of the Hes Hartel Tank Terminal. Construction of this tank terminal in Rotterdam began in 2018. 54 tanks with a total capacity of 1.3 million cubic meters were built on a 27-hectare terrain.
For this project Van Leeuwen supplied all of the piping materials consisting of 80 kilometers of seamless and welded pipes, and 45,000 fittings and flanges. Diameters varied from 0.5 to 24 inches. “The cooperation with Van Leeuwen was excellent. I would certainly recommend Van Leeuwen to other companies,” says Charles Smissaert, Managing Director of HHTT. Van den Oosterkamp: “I am proud of what we have achieved and wish HES much success in operating this terminal.”
“Van Leeuwen acquired the contract because of its excellent relationships with subcontracted suppliers, knowledge of the customer’s needs and its storage facilities in Zwijndrecht, the Netherlands.”
