Leeuwen UK, named the
Deckhouse, was officially
opened. New or modernized
offices were also inaugurated
in Belgium (Vilvoorde) and
France (Meyzieu). Our German colleagues in Vaihingen will be given a new office in 2023.
June 29th
Heléns Rör, our company in Northern Europe and a leading supplier of steel pipes in the region, celebrated its 95th anniversary in 2022. On June 29th, the official groundbreaking ceremony took place for the construction of Heléns' new office in Sweden, as part of the OneHalmstad project, which brings together all our activities in Sweden.
August 30th
Celebration of driving the 100th foundation pile for the monorail project at our warehouse in Zwijndrecht, the Netherlands. The construction work on this monorail is progressing steadily. Read more about it here.
September 13th
The official commissioning of a 5-megawatt peak solar panel installation on the roof of the warehouse in Zwijndrecht by Jan Peter Balkenende, former Prime Minister of the Netherlands. In 2022, Van Leeuwen invested over 5 million euros in solar panels on its own rooftops, including in the Netherlands, Germany, and Romania. This is part of Van Leeuwen's sustainability strategy.
January 28th
The groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of the warehouse in Vyškov, Czech Republic, took place in January 2022. The storage capacity will be increased by 5,300 m2, bringing it to a total of 18,300 m2. Read about the progress here.

In 2022, significant investments were made in the modernization and expansion of warehouses and offices, logistics and storage systems, and machinery. Additionally, as part of its sustainability strategy, Van Leeuwen invested in solar panels on its own rooftops in 2022. Our pipes and tubes, of course, found their way to many customers and projects.
