Foreword
Van Leeuwen More than tubes.

This is our latest edition of VL Connect, Van Leeuwen’s online magazine for our customers and other key business relations. It is our pleasure to keep you informed three times a year of the major – and minor – news from our global network through means of VL Connect.

Van Leeuwen is a leading internationally operating trading company and a specialist in steel pipes, and pipe and tube applications. The company, with its head office in Zwijndrecht, the Netherlands, has 75 offices and stock-keeping locations in 33 countries in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, and North America. Our global logistics and knowledge of products and customer applications make us a leading, specialized company in our markets. With the VL Connect, we share news from our global network with our customers and relations.

Digitalization and Sustainability

The digitalization of our services is an important development within Van Leeuwen. What we are offering our customers in this respect is explained in this edition. Van Leeuwen also has strong ambitions for sustainability for the coming years. Our solar panel project in Zwijndrecht, the Netherlands, is a good example: an installation of 9,100 solar panels on the roof of our warehouse was recently officially put into operation by former Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Professor Jan Peter Balkenende. We will tell you more about this in this VL Connect.

In addition, we take you along in the world of the Civil Engineering & Construction market segment and you can also read about topics such as the anniversary celebrations of our Van Leeuwen Belgium and Heléns companies.
