The terminal, being developed by CTCI Corporation for CPC Corporation, will support Taiwan's natural gas supply. For this project, Van Leeuwen will supply stainless steel pipes ranging from 2" to 48" in diameter, manufactured by our Korean partner LS Metal. The deliveries are planned in several batches during the first half of 2027.

With pipes of up to 48" in diameter and strict requirements for cryogenic applications, this is not a straightforward delivery. Additional material testing, inspections and documentation are required, while the transport of large-diameter pipes has its own challenges. The approximately 330 containers will need to arrive in Taiwan in line with the customer's construction schedule and unloading capacity.

The project is also a good example of our growing cooperation with CTCI. As part of the CTCI Alliance Partner (CAP) program, Van Leeuwen works closely with CTCI on material supply for several major energy and infrastructure projects in Taiwan. The cooperation goes beyond individual orders, with both teams working together on technical requirements, planning and logistics.

2,440 tonnes of stainless steel and approximately 330 containers travelling from South Korea to Taiwan, adding up to around 37 kilometres of piping. These are some of the figures behind a new project secured by Van Leeuwen Singapore for the Intercontinental LNG Receiving Terminal in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
